A leading healthcare institution in Buffalo is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the third shift. The role involves providing patient care and health education in an oncology setting, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and contributing to professional growth through educational programs.
Description:
Performs patient care, health teaching, and health counseling in an oncology setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed independent provider. Assists in individualizing patient care to support adaptation to the disease process and promote wellness. Performs routine nursing procedures, screens, venipuncture, and monitors plateletpheresis and blood donor procedures. Ensures donor and product safety in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Contributes to professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-service meetings, and workshops.
Note: Degrees must be granted by an accredited institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
