Summary:

Performs patient care, health teaching, and health counseling in an oncology setting, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed independent provider. Assists in individualizing patient care to support adaptation to the disease process and promote wellness. Performs routine nursing procedures, screens, venipuncture, and monitors plateletpheresis and blood donor procedures. Ensures donor and product safety in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Contributes to professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-service meetings, and workshops.

Qualifications:

1. Required Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
2. License Requirement: Valid license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New York State.

Note: Degrees must be granted by an accredited institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
