Gundersen Tweeten Care Center Overview:

Gundersen Tweeten Care Center is a long-term care facility dedicated to promoting a healthy, meaningful, and secure environment for adults of all ages. We are seeking a compassionate part-time CNA to join our team for third shift!

What you will do:

1. Work 40 hours/week, Night shifts
2. Every other weekend and holiday are required with an FTE position

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work closely under the supervision of a licensed Nurse
• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach, and squat regularly
• Accurately document on each resident in an electronic medical record; familiarity with basic computer use is required
• Assist with basic care for patients in areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety
• Assist in the orientation of new personnel
• Ensure patient safety
• Participate in CNA and unit staff meetings
• Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance patient care and unit operations
• Perform other job-related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing
• Maintain flexible and predictable attendance
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and safety precautions
• Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients, following proper guidelines
• Maintain environment and equipment
• Demonstrate dependability, organizational skills, and effective time management by setting priorities
• Adhere to Gundersen Health System Mission, policies, and confidentiality standards

Minimum Requirements:

• Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers from AHA or Red Cross
