Shift: Third

About The Unit:

The IV Team provides 24-hour services to patients and nursing staff. The team assists with vascular access and places PIVs, Midlines, and PICC lines. Nurses in this area serve as experts in vascular access techniques, act as resources, and provide education to nursing staff. Strong IV skills are desired.

Job Summary:

The registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient assigned, regardless of age (from infancy to geriatric), and is responsible for patient care in accordance with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The nurse promotes positive patient outcomes, delivers quality care, and initiates change through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils, contributing to a healthy professional practice environment.

Requirements:

• Active Kentucky RN License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
