Registered Nurse Mother Baby - Full Time, Nights

Status: Full Time

Shift: Third

About the Unit:

Registered Nurses serve postpartum patients with all-private rooms and a newborn nursery. Mother/Baby RNs care for mothers and their babies as units. During the night, nurses are assigned separately to mothers and babies. Nursery Registered Nurses attend deliveries and complete initial assessments. Lactation consultants are available for patient and staff education. New graduates are welcome.

Job Summary:

Registered nurses implement the nursing process for each patient assigned to their care, regardless of age (from infancy to geriatrics), and are responsible for patient care in accordance with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. They promote positive patient outcomes, deliver quality care, and contribute to a healthy professional practice environment through active involvement in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils.

Requirements:

• Active Kentucky Nursing License
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
