A leading healthcare provider in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Primary Care team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring their physical and psychological needs are met. Candidates must have completed an approved nursing program and hold current licensure. Experience in Primary Care or Medical-Surgical settings is preferred but not mandatory.
This Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is located at the Grand Island VA Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska. This LPN works under the direction of an RN as a member of a Primary Care team, providing basic and specialized nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of physical, mental, behavioral, or psychological needs.
Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
To be minimally qualified for appointment as an LPN or LVN (licensed practical or vocational nurse) in VHA, applicants must meet the following education and licensure requirements:
The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-06. The applicant's grade level will be determined based on their experience and qualifications, ranging from GS-03 to GS-06. Human Resources will assess and recommend the appropriate grade based on your application.
To be considered for GS-05 and GS-06 levels, your application must demonstrate the following KSAs:
