Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in Brookings, SD seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our home care team. You will provide nursing care, administer medications, and support clients’ health and well-being across a variety of home environments.

This flexible role offers PRN and part-time options with potential for full-time hours, days/evenings/overnights, and weekly pay. On-call support and continuing education are included after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in SD or eligibility for licensure via reciprocity or multistate privileges.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous LPN experience required – 1000 hours.
• 1 year pediatric experience.
• Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR available for qualified candidates.
• Must maintain all required certifications and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support clients’ health, safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and policies.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Complete nursing assessments per plan of care.
• Monitor and record vital signs.
• Observe clients for changes in condition and report to care team.

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities

As an LPN working with Interim HealthCare, responsibilities may include:

• Providing nursing care and supporting clients health, safety and comfort and well-being
• Administering medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, Interim policies and applicable regulations
• Assisting with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Completing nursing assessments with appropriate monitored according to plan of care
• Monitoring and recording vital signs
• Observing clients for changes in condition and reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members
• Identifying and reporting concerns related to patient care, medications, or medical equipment

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous LPN experience required - 1000 hours worked
• 1 year pediatric experience
• Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional care in long-term care in a variety of different home environments
