Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for staffing across the Sioux City region. The role offers competitive hourly pay with weekly pay and flexible scheduling through a scheduling app.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, medication administration, vital signs, wound care, and nursing assessments. Prior LPN experience is preferred. This position supports various shifts with potential for charge nurse duties on a full schedule.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in the applicable state or eligibility for reciprocity
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in various settings
• Proven ability to perform ADL assistance, vital signs, and documentation

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Administer medications per orders and facility protocols
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and ROM exercises
• Monitor vital signs and document results
• Provide wound care and monitor healing
• Care for PEG tubes and related feeding needs
• Administer infusions and monitor for reactions
• Conduct nursing assessments and adjust care plans as needed
• Complete accurate clinical documentation
• Perform other nursing duties within LPN scope
• Capable of acting as charge nurse on scheduled shifts

Licensed Practical Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and providing compassionate, individualized care
• Administering medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the LPN scope of practice
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous LPN experience highly preferred
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings
