Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in South Dakota. This role offers flexible scheduling (PRN, part-time, full-time) with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and support patients across community settings. The position emphasizes ADLs, wound care, infusion administration where appropriate, and potential charge nurse duties.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous LPN experience preferred.
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards.
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living.
• Administering medications and treatments per provider orders and facility protocols.
• Assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respirations.
• Providing wound care and monitoring wound healing.
• Providing care for patients with PEG tubes and assisting with related feeding needs, as applicable.
• Administering infusions and monitoring patients for responses or potential complications, as applicable.
• Conducting nursing assessments and monitoring patients for changes in condition that may require adjustments to their plan of care, medications, or medical equipment.
• Completing accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Performing other nursing duties as assigned within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assignment dependent: Capacity to act as the charge nurse on the floor for the entirety of scheduled shift.
