Job Description

At BioLife, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd., we are looking for a Plasma Center Nurse (Medical Support Specialist) to screen and advise donors, manage donor eligibility, handle adverse events, review laboratory results, and support plasma center operations.

Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological assays.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including coordination with the Center Physician.
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance and for any unacceptable findings.
  • Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine if further evaluation by occupational health is required.
  • Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations of pandemic threats.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with graduate equivalency in a recognized nursing program meeting state requirements.
  • Current nursing license or certification (RN, NP, or PA) in the state of assignment.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • State compliance with basic IV therapy requirements.
  • Completion of FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
Benefits

Hourly wage range: $24.32–$33.44 (subject to location, qualifications, experience, and applicable wage laws). U.S. based employees may receive medical, dental, vision insurance; 401(k) with company match; short‑ and long‑term disability; life insurance; tuition reimbursement; paid volunteer time; holiday pay; wellness benefits; up to 80 hours of sick time per year; up to 120 hours of paid vacation for new hires.
