Job summary

Wilson Medical Center is seeking an LPN to join our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry team. You will assess patients, implement nursing interventions, and document medical information in the chart in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an active LPN license and a nursing degree, with BLS due within 30 days of hire. Schedule is 3x12 nights with rotating weekends and holidays in-person at Wilson, NC.

Qualifications

• Current state LPN license and degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

More about our team

Join our 22-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5/6. We are staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Monitor Techs providing care for patients for a mix of patients including Med/Surge. Our unit has 24/7 CNA coverage who work closely with the RNs as well as 24/7 cardiac monitoring. This role offers the opportunity to work in a face-paced environment with rapid patient turnover while delivering high-quality patient care in a strong team environment.
