Job summary

Prime Healthcare St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Cardiac Telemetry unit. This full-time night position runs 7p–7:30a across 3-12 hour shifts with rotating weekends/holidays.

Competitive pay ($31.00–$40.00 per hour) and a $7,500 sign-on bonus are offered. Responsibilities include direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision, ensuring safety and comfort, and improving overall patient experience in telemetry.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and licensure as LPN/LVN.
• IV certification and BW certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications preferred/required by hire date.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the telemetry setting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.5. Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.6. Work experience in health care preferred.
