Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry. The full-time day shift (7a–7:30p) on the Cardiac Telemetry floor offers rotating holidays and weekends and an opportunity to work at 2233 W. Division St.

The role includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus and an hourly rate of $35.35–$53.58. The RN will provide safe patient care, coordinate with physicians, and lead patient/family education in a fast-paced telemetry setting.

Qualifications

• Current valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• RN-BC or similar certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within Telemetry Unit scope of practice and guide patient/family education.
• Communicate with the physician about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and treatment responses.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to their assigned patients. They communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
