Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a licensed LVN/LPN for our Intermediate Care/Stepdown unit. This full-time Day shift runs 7:00 am–7:30 pm, with 3,12-hour shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. Location: 2222 W.

Division St., Chicago, IL. The LVN/LPN will provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision in telemetry. Requirements include LPN/LVN license, high school diploma, IV and BW certification within 90 days, BLS on hire and ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care in telemetry under RN supervision.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain safety and improve patient experience.
• Maintain patient comfort and care in the telemetry setting.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the telemetry setting.
