Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse for the Cardiac Telemetry department. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision on night shifts (7p–7:30a) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications include LPN/LVN license, HS diploma, IV and BW certifications, and current BLS; ACLS preferred. The facility offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the telemetry setting.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.
