Job summary

SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a day shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care and health education for residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

This full-time role features 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7pm with a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401K, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care for residents on the unit.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physician of changes.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on assessment.
• Institute nursing interventions to stabilize residents and prevent complications.
• Contribute to residents’ assessments and care plans.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the LPN will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and institute appropriate nursing interventions that might be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and /or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the residents’ assessment and the development of a care plan.
