Job summary

Mecklenburg Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team in North Carolina. The LPN will provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs in daily activities, ensuring quality care under federal, state, and local standards.

Ideal candidates have long-term care experience, a positive attitude, and a strong bedside manner. Must hold a valid NC LPN license or a compact license valid in NC.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid LPN license in North Carolina (NC) or a compact license that allows practice in NC.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise CNAs according to standards and regulations.
• Pass medications and complete assessments and treatments; document care provided.

The primary purpose of your position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. This position involves passing medication and completing assessments and treatments, as well as documenting the provision of these services and occasionally participating in activities of daily living care or assisting the nursing assistants.

The ideal candidate would have long term care experience, a positive attitude and bedside manner, and a love for working with people.

Must posess a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of North Carolina (NC) or a compact license that allows you to practice in NC.
