Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Health in Jackson, TN is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to join our behavioral health team serving children, adolescents, and adults. You will provide general nursing care, administer medications, and support residents under physician and clinician guidance.

Qualified candidates must hold an active Tennessee LPN license or eligible compact, CPR certification, and ideally one year of direct behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Tennessee or eligible compact license.
• CPR certification required.
• Prefer 1 year of direct care in behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care as required.
• Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents.
• Distributes medication as prescribed and properly maintains the MARS.
• Serves as a role model for residents and peers.
• Establishes and maintains professional contact with the resident’s physician and psychotherapist to assist in planning the resident’s care.
• Models and teaches appropriate life skills to the patients.
• Admits, discharges and transfers residents based on physician’s orders and sometimes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Intervenes appropriately to de-escalate residents as needed. Provides quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents

Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson has immediate openings for LPNs . We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those with mental health illness.

The Licensed Practical Nurses’ responsibilities include the following:

• Provides general nursing care as required.
