Overview

Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City has immediate openings for Day, Evening or Night LPNs. We are seeking individuals who are committed to improving the lives of those with mental health illness.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at Perimeter Healthcare Careers

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care as required.
• Develops a therapeutic relationship with assigned residents.
• Distributes medication as prescribed and properly maintains the MARS.
• Serves as a role model for residents and peers.
• Establishes and maintains professional contact with the resident’s physician and psychotherapist to assist in planning the resident’s care.
• Models and teaches appropriate life skills to the patients.
• Admits, discharges and transfers residents based on physician’s orders and sometimes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Intervenes to de-escalate residents as needed, delivering quality and excellent nursing care to assigned behavioral health children and adolescents.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse License in the State of Arkansas or eligible compact license.
• Prefer one-year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Must be CPR Certified.
