Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Jackson is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team providing compassionate nursing care to residents with mental health needs. LPNs will distribute medications, build therapeutic relationships, and collaborate with physicians and therapists to plan individualized care.

Ideal candidates hold an active TN LPN license (or eligible for a compact license) and CPR certification, with a preference for 1 year of direct behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in TN or eligible compact license.
• CPR certification required.
• Prefer at least 1 year direct care experience in a behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care as required.
• Develops a therapeutic relationship with residents.
• Distributes medications as prescribed and maintains MARS.
• Serve as a role model for residents and peers.
• Maintain contact with physicians/psychotherapists to plan care.
• Model and teach appropriate life skills to patients.
• Admits, discharges and transfers residents as directed.
• Intervene to de-escalate residents and provide quality nursing care.
