Merakey is seeking a Full-time School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school located in Scranton, PA. The role involves administering medications, following health policies, and supporting students' wellbeing.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license in Texas, at least 1 year of nursing experience, and preference for experience with students with autism. This position offers weekday hours and a structured school environment.

• 1 year experience in nursing.
• Experience working with students with an autism diagnosis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed protocols.
• Ensuring proper storage, documentation, and safety of all medications and medical supplies.
• Adhering to standard precautions and infection control guidelines to promote a safe and healthy environment.
• Managing incidents and critical events through timely reporting and appropriate follow-up procedures.
• Responding promptly and sensitively to students' health needs, offering calm, compassionate care in both routine and urgent situations.
• Collaborating with school staff, families, and external healthcare providers to support the physical and emotional well-being of each child.

Position Details:

The School Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides high-quality, compassionate health care to students in a school setting. Working under the direct supervision of the School Program Director, the School Nurse ensures that all health-related policies and procedures are implemented effectively and safely The School Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive environment where all children feel safe, supported, and cared for with empathy and professionalism.
