Job summary

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Madison, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join a rehabilitation-focused team. You will work 3x12 night shifts with rotating weekends, contribute to complex care plans, and participate in CCRN RN Fellow Program opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medication administration and patient care as part of a specialized recovery team.
• Collaborate closely with PT, OT, and Speech Therapy to manage high-acuity cases.
• Contribute to stroke recovery, TBI, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
• Provide patient and family education and support.

The Clinical Experience

You won't just be passing meds; you will be a core pillar of a highly specialized recovery team. Working closely alongside PT, OT, and Speech Therapy, you will manage complex, high-acuity cases-including stroke recovery, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and spinal cord injuries.
