Job summary

UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Madison is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shifts. You will join a highly specialized rehabilitation team, working with PT, OT, and Speech Therapy to support stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury recovery.

We offer a 3x12 night schedule, weekend rotation, and robust benefits including medical, dental, vision plus tuition reimbursement and a 401(k) plan. New grads welcome to apply and sign-on or relocation bonuses are available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN/ADN/Diploma).
• Current state licensure as Licensed Practical Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration as part of a rehabilitation-focused care team.
• Collaborate with PT/OT/Speech Therapy to manage high-acuity cases (stroke, TBI, spinal cord injuries).
• Monitor patient status during night shifts and respond to changes promptly.

The Clinical Experience:

You won't just be passing meds; you will be a core pillar of a highly specialized recovery team. Working closely alongside PT, OT, and Speech Therapy, you will manage complex, high-acuity cases-including stroke recovery, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and spinal cord injuries.
