LEARN Regional Educational Service Center is seeking an energetic LPN to support student health at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy. The role involves direct care, medication administration, IHCPs, and collaboration with the RN to ensure student safety and participation in school life.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor health, respond to emergencies, and maintain health records while promoting dignity and independence for students.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in CT.
• Pediatric, school, or special needs nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow nursing care plans and communicate effectively with the supervising RN.
• CPR (required; training provided if needed).
• Compassion, patience, and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students under the supervision and direction of the school's RN.
• Administer prescribed medications, tube feedings, and treatments as outlined in individualized health care plans (IHCPs).
• Monitor student health status and promptly report changes to the supervising RN.
• Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Assist with maintaining health records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
• Support students with activities of daily living (ADLs) as required.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and the supervising RN to promote student well-being.

We are seeking an energetic, collaborative, and student-centered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school team at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy. The nurse will support students with complex medical and developmental needs in a school setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will provide direct daily care, assist with treatments, and help ensure the overall health and safety of students throughout the school day.
