REPORTS TO: Health Services Coordinator

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide state mandated health services to students under the direction of the Health Services Coordinator.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G‑tube feedings, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred.
• Ability to medically document in a professional and thorough manner.
• Ability to exercise professionalism and confidentiality when providing information to the students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, parent, staff, and other personnel.
• Successful experience working in school health or in the area of pediatrics, desirable.
• Must have own transportation.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Connecticut. Current First Aid/CPR Certification.

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary in accordance with Hartford Educational Support Personnel (HESP) S484 - ($43,512-$51,610). 10-month work year.
