• Educate staff and students in the appropriate use of services offered in the Health Office.
• To provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for each district student by minimizing absences due to illness and create a climate of health and well-being in the district schools.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Supervisor of Nursing Services. Evaluation of school nurse is systematic, appropriate to meet the individual needs of evaluated staff members, and consistent with school nursing standards of practice. Evaluation of individual school nurses on discipline-specific clinical competencies is conducted only by a supervisor with credentials and expertise in school nursing.
