Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health services to students during the school day.
• Monitor students for signs of illness, injury, or changes in health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as authorized and in accordance with policies.
• Assist students with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, asthma, seizure disorders, and other medical needs.
• Maintain accurate, confidential student health records and nursing documentation.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid within the scope of practice.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, school staff, and supervising healthcare professionals.
• Support individualized healthcare plans and emergency care plans.
• Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive school environment.
• Follow infection control procedures and nursing regulations.
• Perform other nursing duties within the LPN scope of practice.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting students' health needs, administering medications as authorized, monitoring student well-being, and assisting with the management of chronic health conditions in accordance with provider orders, school policies, and applicable regulations.
