Job summary

Lifepoint Health Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Inpatient Rehabilitation unit on the night shift. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available with a 2-year commitment. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts.

As part of Lifepoint Health, you’ll join a team focused on high-quality patient care, collaborating with PTs and OTs, and supporting patient recovery in a 20-bed unit with experienced staff. Current NC LPN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• BLS certification is required.
• Current NC LPN license is required.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, collects patient data for assessment.
• Performs care plan interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer prescribed medications.
• Documents delivered patient care accurately.
• Assists in developing the plan of care with the RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Monitors and communicates patient status and responses to care with the RN and team.

• 20 bed unit
• 12 hour shifts
• Tenured nurses, good reputation in community
• Nurses work very closely with PT's and OT's
• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

How You'll Contribute

• Under the direction of an RN, contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care given.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
