Job summary

FryeCare Hickory Family Practice Associates is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Hickory, NC. The role involves direct patient care under supervision by a registered nurse, preparation and support across the clinic, and contributing to a patient-focused primary care environment.

Applicants must hold an active North Carolina LPN license, have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days, and demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure in a Family Medicine

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Previous Family Medicine or Pediatric Care is required.

Responsibilities

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Documents patient care given.
• Supports providers with overall needs of the clinic.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state LPN license. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional requirements include:

• Active North Carolina LPN license (single-state) or compact required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Previous Family Medicine or Pediatric Care is required.
