Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Employee Health team. This full-time daytime role supports staff health services, performing assessments, basic diagnostics, documentation, and administrative duties to maintain a healthy, safe workforce.

A $7,500 sign-on bonus is offered with a 2-year commitment for eligible candidates. Active NC LPN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within required timelines are expected; prior experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina LPN license required.
• AHA BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Requires critical thinking and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist with employee health patient assessments related to employment.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Document patient care provided and monitor changes in condition.
• Maintain examination areas and manage equipment and supplies.
• Carry out administrative duties such as filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

How You'll Contribute

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of the Employee Health Manager, assists with performing patient assessments in relation to employment with the facility.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communication regarding changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains examination areas.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Completes other tasks, within scope of position, as delegated by the Employee Health Manager and Director of People Services.

What we're looking for

• Licenses: Active North Carolina or compact state LPN license required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
