Job summary

Centurion is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Homestead Correctional Institution in Florida City, FL. The LPN provides holistic nursing care under the supervision of RNs and medical staff.

Shift options include 6:30a-7pm and 10:30a-7pm. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED, an active LPN license, CPR certification, and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in CPR.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice for incarcerated patients.
• Work under the direction of Registered Nurses, medical, and psychiatric staff to respond to health needs.
• Respond to a range of physical and mental health needs of inmates.
• Perform Nursing duties in a per diem, day shift setting at the institution.

The LPN is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. Licensed Practical Nurses work under the direction of Registered Nurses, medical, and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and mental health needs

Shift - 6:30a - 7pm (12hrs) / 10:30a - 7pm (8hrs)
