Job summary

Centurion is the provider of comprehensive healthcare services and is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Homestead Correctional Institution in Florida City, FL.

The LPN delivers holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients, under the supervision of RNs and medical staff. Current LPN license and CPR certification are required; ability to obtain security clearance is also needed.

Shift options include 6:30a-7p (12h) and 10:30a-7p (8h).

Qualifications

• Current LPN license is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients within scope of practice.

Licensed Practical Nurses work under the direction of Registered Nurses, medical, and psychiatric staff to respond to a range of physical and mental health needsShift - 6:30a - 7pm (12hrs) / 10:30a - 7pm (8hrs)• High school diploma or GED equivalent required• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
