Job summary

The Ohio Masonic Communities in Springfield is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide customer-focused medical treatment and personal care services. Responsibilities include administering care, evaluating nursing assistants, and managing medication. Applicants must possess a current LPN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing. Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary care to each resident.
• Assigns Nursing Assistants duties and evaluates their progress.
• Takes and records patients’ vital signs and dresses wounds.
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication.
• Administers specified medication and documents accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Provides exemplary care to each and every resident
• Assigns Nursing Assistants duties and evaluates progress of nursing assistants, resident assistants, and universal workers
• Takes and records patients’ vital signs; dresses wounds, gives enemas, douches
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to supervisor
• Administers specified medication orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and documents in medication administration records

Qualifications

• Must have a current LPN license from the Ohio Board of Nursing
