Job summary

Elara Caring is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time home health in the Portland area. You will provide skilled nursing care in patients' homes under RN and physician supervision, following plans of care and documenting care provided.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license in Maine
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• At least one year of experience in an acute care or comparable clinical setting
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
• Must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes
• Ability to travel between patient homes throughout Portland and Cumberland County

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and report changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments within your scope of practice

What You’ll Need

• Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license in Maine
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• At least one year of experience in an acute care or comparable clinical setting
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Ability to travel between patient homes throughout Portland and Cumberland County
