Job summary

TEEMA Group is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide hands-on nursing care in Milwaukee, including medication administration, point-of-care testing, vaccinations, and documentation in a patient-centered clinic.

You will collaborate with RNs and Advanced Practice Providers, maintain thorough records, and adhere to clinical protocols. Schedule is 40 hours per week, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with a pay rate of $37/hour.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LPN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Hands-on clinical experience with medication administration and direct patient care.
• Experience with phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Experience administering vaccines and IM/SubQ medications.
• Ability to document patient care in an electronic health record (EHR).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality, hands-on nursing care in a patient-centered clinical environment. The LPN will be responsible for medication administration, direct patient care, point-of-care testing, treatments, vaccinations, emergency response, and accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers, and other members of the healthcare team.

What you will be doing:

• Administer medications in accordance with established medication administration processes and the rights of medication administration to promote patient safety.

• Complete medication refills according to Provider orders and established policies and procedures.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients based on their individual healthcare needs and established plans of care.

• Perform point-of-care specimen collection, including phlebotomy and other required sample collection.

• Administer vaccines and IM/SubQ medications within the LPN scope of practice.

• Provide routine treatments and nursing procedures, including:

  • Wound care

  • Enema administration

  • Topical medication application

  • Colostomy care

  • Surgical preparation procedures

  • Other treatments as ordered

• Monitor patients during and following treatments and promptly report observations, changes in condition, and treatment outcomes to the Registered Nurse and/or Advanced Practice Provider.

• Recognize patients experiencing physiological distress and initiate appropriate emergency interventions in accordance with BLS standards and the LPN scope of practice.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all patient care, treatments, medications, and clinical encounters within the electronic health record (EHR).

• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

• Follow all established clinical protocols, infection-control procedures, patient safety standards, and organizational policies.

What you must have:

• Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state.

• Current BLS certification.

• Previous hands-on clinical experience with medication administration and direct patient care.

• Demonstrated experience with phlebotomy and point-of-care specimen collection.

• Experience administering vaccines and IM/SubQ medications.

• Experience performing routine nursing treatments, including wound care.

• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

• Experience documenting patient care within an electronic health record.

• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
