Job summary

Prime Healthcare Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL is seeking an LVN/LPN for the Surgical Specialty Unit. This full-time daytime position runs 7a–7:30p with rotating weekends and holidays and includes self-scheduling.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the MST setting.

• 1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• 3. IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• 4. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• 5. Work experience in health care preferred.
