Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Acute Rehab unit. The role covers direct and indirect patient care during nights, with 7p-7:30a shifts, full-time, rotating weekends and holidays, and self-scheduling.

Under RN supervision you will ensure safety, comfort and patient experience within MST settings. LPN/LVN must hold licensure, IV and BW certification within 90 days, current BLS, and preferred healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.

Responsibilities

The LVN/LPN provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring clinical competence within the scope of practice in accordance with state requirements. In collaboration with the healthcare team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the LVN/LPN works to maintain safety, provide patient comfort and care and improve the overall patient experience in the MST setting.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
• IV certification and Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Work experience in health care preferred.
