The Cypress of Hilton Head Island is seeking a hospitality-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Preston Health Center team in Hilton Head Island, SC. This part-time role features 12-hour shifts and day/night scheduling details provided at interview.

Candidates must hold a SC LPN license, have rehabilitative/geriatric nursing experience, and pass a background and drug screen. The facility emphasizes resident-centered care and professional conduct.

Qualificações

• Active South Carolina Practical or Registered Nurse license is required.
• Experience in rehabilitative/geriatric nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of DHEC, CMS and related agency requirements preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Receive and transcribe physician orders.
• Check, administer, and record medications and treatments.
• Maintain narcotic and medication records.
• Admit and orient new residents.
• Supervise and assign nursing assistants.
• Monitor resident safety at all times.
• Document in medical records per policy/regulation.
• Respond to emergency pull cords and prepare reports.
• Provide direct resident care.
• Administer IV medications per policy.
• Assess resident condition and notify physician/family of changes.
• Maintain safety and comply with injury reporting guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Preston Health Center is a five-star, 62-bed health center providing services including rehab, short-term and long-term stays, and memory support.

We are seeking dynamic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Preston Health Center team. Please note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is required for employment.

You're a good fit if:

• You have an active South Carolina Practical or Registered Nurse license or compact license.
• You have a relevant degree from an accredited college/program.
• You possess education, training, and/or experience in rehabilitative nursing, geriatric nursing, and/or psychosocial nursing.
• You are knowledgeable about all DHEC, CMS, and other agency requirements.
• You pass successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen.
• You have the ability to communicate, understand, empathize, and work with residents, families, visitors, peers, and subordinates.

A typical day looks like:

• Receive and transcribe physician orders.
• Check, administer, and record medications and treatments appropriately.
• Keep narcotic records and medication records up to date.
• Admit and orient new residents.
• Supervise and assign duties to nursing assistants.
• Monitor resident safety issues at all times.
• Document in the medical records as per policy and regulation.
• Respond to emergency pull cord calls in apartments and prepare reports.
• Complete direct resident care.
• Administer intravenous medications per facility policy.
• Assess the resident's condition and needs.
• Notify the doctor and family of the condition changes.
• Take appropriate precautions to avoid job-related injuries and comply with injury reporting guidelines.
