The Cypress of Hilton Head is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the Preston Health Center team in Hilton Head Island, SC. The role supports rehab, short-term and long-term stays with an emphasis on hospitality and resident engagement.

This part-time position requires SC LPN licensure or a compact license, and a commitment to a 12-hour shift schedule. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and 401K, with tuition reimbursement and scholarship options for employees and dependents.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Practical or Registered Nurse license or compact license.
• Relevant degree from an accredited college/program.
• Education, training, and/or experience in rehabilitative, geriatric, and/or psychosocial nursing.
• Knowledge of DHEC, CMS and other agency requirements.
• Successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen.
• Ability to communicate, understand, empathize, and work with residents, families, visitors, peers, and subordinates.

Responsibilities

• Receive and transcribe physician orders.
• Check, administer, and record medications and treatments.
• Keep narcotic records and medication records up to date.
• Admit and orient new residents.
• Supervise and assign duties to nursing assistants.
• Monitor resident safety issues at all times.
• Document in medical records per policy and regulation.
• Respond to emergency pull cord calls and prepare reports.
• Complete direct resident care.
• Administer intravenous medications per facility policy.
• Assess resident condition and needs.
• Notify doctor and family of condition changes.

The Preston Health Center is a five-star, 62-bed health center providing services including rehab, short-term and long-term stays, and memory support.

We are seeking dynamic Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our Preston Health Center team. Please note that proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption is required for employment.

Status: Part-Time

Shift: 12 hours shift

Schedule: Day/Night details upon interview.

You're a good fit if:

• You have an active South Carolina Practical or Registered Nurse license or compact license.
• You have a relevant degree from an accredited college/program.
• You possess education, training, and/or experience in rehabilitative nursing, geriatric nursing, and/or psychosocial nursing.
• You are knowledgeable about all DHEC, CMS, and other agency requirements.
• You pass successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen.
• You have the ability to communicate, understand, empathize, and work with residents, families, visitors, peers, and subordinates.

A typical day looks like:
