Job summary

Norwich Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced nurse to provide safe resident care, administer medications, and follow up on treatment plans within established standards. The role requires adherence to patient safety protocols and effective communication during shift changes, with opportunities across all shifts.

This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus, competitive hourly rates starting around $33.25, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Current nursing license/certification required.
• Ability to follow established standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies.
• Maintains awareness of new updates standards and incorporates them into nursing practice.
• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation.
• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.
• Cooperates with reassignments in the interest of resident care.

New Rate Starting at $33.25/hr Up To $34/hr "salary adjustment based on years of experience" w/Diff Eve $35/hr & Nights $35.50/hr

Functions:

• Provides safe resident care, demonstrating knowledge and competency in completing assigned treatments and procedures according to established standards and policies. Maintains awareness of new updates standards and incorporates them into his/her nursing practice throughout the continuum of care.
• Participates in the improvement process of quality resident care.
• Incorporates age-specific needs, provision of care, procedures, and treatments.
• Communicates pertinent resident information and plan of care before breaks, during transfer, and at shift report.
• Accurately administers medications according to the five rights of medication administration and documentation of same.
• Accurately performs treatments utilizing sterile or clean technique.
• Accurately administers external feedings.
• Completes resident care-related activities within scheduled shift time periods.
• Cooperates with reassignments made in the interest of resident care.
• Reports resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
• Delegates resident care problems and possible solutions to the appropriate nursing management personnel.
