Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) for the day shift at the Maxton, NC office. Candidates should be willing to travel to group homes in Laurinburg and Hoffman, NC, to support individuals with IDD.

This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30am–4:30pm, offering $32 per hour plus incentives. You will assist with administering medications, mentoring unlicensed staff, and coordinating health services while ensuring routine medical appointments

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current nursing license with no restrictions on practice.
• Current CPR certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team, patients, and families.
• Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize tasks.
• Pre-employment screening including background checks and credential verification.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services.
• Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel.
• Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration.
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Collect health-related data.
• Observe for and report any abnormal health-related findings to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health.
