Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) for a day shift in a structured office setting. The role supports group home operations with regular visits to residences and requires coordination with an interdisciplinary team.

The position offers full-time hours, a 8:30am–5:30pm schedule, and a competitive hourly rate. Prior IDD and case management experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with IDD.
  • Assist the RN in delivering quality nursing services.
  • Provide health-related training to unlicensed personnel.
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist with medication administration.
  • Assist with scheduling preventative and routine medical appointments.
  • Conduct medication closest assessments.
  • Collect health data and report abnormal findings.

We are hiring for:

Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) – Day Shift

Type:

Regular

Location:

Main office is out of Clevland, NC and all canidates must be willing to travel to our group homes within a 20 miunute commute from Clevland such as in Salisbury, NC.

Employment Type:

Full-time, Day Shift

Compensation:

$32/hr+

Incentives:

No sign-on bonus is being offered at this time. No relocation packaged offered.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

This is an office-based position that supports our group home operations and requires routine visits to our residential homes. It is ideal for nurses seeking a more structured and steady-paced environment outside of traditional fast-paced hospital or SNF settings. Candidates with prior IDD and case management experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported

  • Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel

  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration

  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled

  • Conduct medication closest assessments

  • Collect health related data

  • Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician

  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team

  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program

  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.

  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families

  • Must be able to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

  • Name checked in the registries. (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)

  • Drug testing

  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.

  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)

  • Positions that require driving Proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
