Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the medical team at Central Maryland Correctional Facility in Sykesville, Maryland. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of RNs and other medical professionals.

The position requires an LPN license (or ability to obtain one), CPR certification, and the ability to obtain a security clearance including drug screening and a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• LPN license or ability to obtain one required.
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
