Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Maryland Correctional Training Center (MCTC) in Hagerstown, Maryland. The LPN provides holistic nursing care within the scope of practice to incarcerated patients, under the direction of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff to respond to physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications include an active Maryland LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year of LPN experience;

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Must be CPR/BLS certified.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice.
• Work under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs of incarcerated patients.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
