Job summary

Centurion Health seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time night shift at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, MD. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of RNs and psychiatric staff, addressing physical and behavioral health needs in a corrections setting.

The role requires an active Maryland LPN license, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to obtain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland LPN license.
• Minimum of one year of LPN experience in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff.
• Respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.
• Support patient care within the appropriate scope of practice.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical)

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
