Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Chesapeake Detention Facility in Baltimore, MD. The LPN will deliver holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under RN supervision and alongside medical and psychiatric staff.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland LPN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of LPN experience in clinical settings preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (drug screen and background check).

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care within the LPN scope of practice to incarcerated patients.
• Work under supervision of RNs and medical/psychiatric staff to address physical and behavioral health needs.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive services to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. We are currently seeking a Per Diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Chesapeake Detention Facility - located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients while working under the direction of Registered Nurses (RN) and medical and psychiatric staff, to respond to a range of physical and behavioral health needs.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN with an active license to practice in Maryland
• Minimum of one year of work experience as an LPN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
• Corrections experience preferred
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
