Job summary

Community Care Pediatrics Saratoga is seeking a licensed practical nurse to join our team in a full-time role. Work hours are Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with a half day once per week and rotating Saturday mornings. A recruitment and retention bonus of up to $3,500 is available.

The position involves vaccine administration, patient communication, and clinical procedures under provider direction. Strong EMR skills and a solid nursing foundation are required.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• Previous LPN experience in a medical practice or related roles.
• Strong computer skills with EMR experience.
• Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols.
• Knowledge of infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
• Skill in appropriate assessment and assistance techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patient record accurately and timely.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.
• Perform clinical office procedures as directed by the provider (i.e. PFT, EKG, nebulizer, medication administration and immunizations)
• Process patient prescriptions.
• Discuss test results with patients per provider's instructions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record vaccines.
• Document verbal conversations with patients when appropriate.
• Document information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
• Maintain timely patient flow.
• Prepare patient for visit as appropriate, based on office/provider requirements.
• Obtain specimens (i.e., urine, blood, etc.) from patients as directed by the provider.
• Accurate and timely order entry into the lab system.

Compensation: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
