Job summary

Homestead of Olathe Memory Care in Olathe, KS is seeking an LPN to join our dedicated team of caregivers. You will provide patient care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing and help ensure each resident’s care plan is carried out with compassion.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure required or eligible to practice in Kansas.
• Experience providing nursing care to residents in memory care or long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to follow care plans and document care accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents per care plans; may involve coordination with physicians, residents, families and staff.
• Communicate with residents and families regarding education and progress.
• Review and maintain clinical records required for resident care and progress.
• Review weekly reports to ensure compliance with Kansas and Federal requirements, including infection control and safety.

As an LPN, you will work under the general supervision of the communities Director of Nursing to:

• Provide a provision of care to patients in accordance with their care plans. May require conferences with physician, patient, family members and other staff involved with patient’s care.
• Communicate with patient and family regarding education and progress of patient.
• Review and maintain all clinical records, which are required for patient’s care and progress.
• Review weekly reports to monitor personal and staff compliance to all Kansas and Federal requirements including blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety
