Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time day shifts in Bedford County. You will provide home health care to patients, perform nursing tasks, and collaborate with the care team to support patients in their home setting.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience required.
• Current LPN license for the assigned state(s).
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN to meet patient needs; notify promptly if condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and reconcile at each visit.
• Perform physician-ordered procedures (e.g., Foley catheter changes).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
