Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse for full-time daytime visits in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Join one of the nation's largest home health and hospice providers, offering flexibility, purpose and growth while delivering care in patients' homes.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, state(s) you are assigned to.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify them if patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review all medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. Foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
