Wexford Health Sources, Inc. seeks an LPN at Southern Regional Jail in Beaver, WV to provide hands-on nursing care during the 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM shift with some weekends. You will work under the guidance of RNs and other medical staff to deliver compassionate care to a justice-involved population.

The role emphasizes medication administration, vital signs, wound care, and accurate charting in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for every patient.

Qualifications

• Active unrestricted LPN license in state of practice.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience (correctional experience preferred).
• Active CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and communication skills; adaptability in high-pressure settings.
• A compassionate, nonjudgmental approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

As an LPN at our facility, you’ll play a hands-on role in delivering care to a vulnerable population under the guidance of RNs and medical providers. Some responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Assisting with activities of daily living and therapeutic interventions
• Taking vital signs and monitoring patient conditions
• Providing wound care and changing dressings
• Supporting documentation and care planning
• Promoting hygiene, sanitation, and a safe environment for all patients
• Serving as a vital part of a multidisciplinary treatment team
